I took this beautiful picture of my son running near Matanzas Inlet yesterday afternoon.

This is a really stunning place to live. Most homes either front the beach or have frontage on the Intracoastal. Called “Summer Haven,” the area also includes Summer Island, Matanzas Shores, Barrataria Island, and Sea Matanzas. It’s a short walk to the water from any of them. Click here to see homes available here right now.

Tips For When You Build A New House

My partner, Broker Associate Kate Stevens, and I stopped by at some new construction recently. We did a short video on things to do when you’re having your new house built. Hint: bring a tape measure.

One thing we forgot to add in the video is the how and where of checking for your roof tie-downs; it may help your insurance rates go down. Just ask your site supervisor or contractor and he’ll be able to help you find them.

Do you need expert help when you buy new construction?  Email Kate or call her at 904-377-2276.
